What is the cancellation policy?
For Regulation Crowdfunding, investors are able to cancel their investment at any point throughout the campaign up until 48 hours before a close on funds. Companies will post disbursement notices shortly before closing on funds, and this will act as your opportunity to request a refund before they close on your funds.
For Regulation A+, StartEngine allows for a four hour cancellation period. Once the four hour window has passed, it is up to each company to set their own cancellation policy. You may find the company’s cancellation policy in the company’s offering circular.
Where is my refund?
For credit and debit card refunds, our credit card processor Stripe submits the refund immediately. It can take 5-10 days for your bank to process the refund. To learn more, please click here. https://support.stripe.com/questions/customer-refund-processing-time
Please note that some refunds are processed in the form of a reversal, which means the charge is removed from your statement rather than a credit being issued.
For ACH investments, once your investment is canceled, there is a 10 day clearing period (from the date your investment was submitted). After your funds have cleared the bank, you will receive your refund within 10 business days.
